Reading transits without treating them as fate

Transits compare the moving sky with natal placements. Exact dates can be calculated; what those moments mean in a person’s life remains open and individual.

A transit is a relationship between a moving planet and a position in a natal chart. The astronomical part can be calculated: which bodies form an aspect, how close it is, and when it becomes exact. The calculation does not tell us what event must happen.

A slow-moving planet may form an aspect, move away, and return to it during retrograde motion. That can produce several exact dates for one transit. A timeline should show those passes separately so a reader can distinguish the sky’s motion from a simplified single-day story.

Interpretation works best when it stays specific and modest. A Saturn aspect to a natal Sun is a useful prompt to examine responsibility, limits, and energy. It is not evidence that a particular outcome is inevitable. A person’s circumstances and decisions remain central.

Treat a transit as a question rather than a verdict. What needs attention? Where would a boundary help? What support is available? If a reading creates fear or urges a high-stakes decision, step back and consult qualified people in the relevant field.
